Drawing Club at Disney

We are very fortunate to have Bob Kato, to run his small version of his Drawing Club here at Disney Consumer Products. The workshop runs every lunch time on fridays with different costumed themed models. I had a lot fun working on these, especially painting larger on tone paper. I'm a big fan of Ashley Wood's approach to drawing and painting and i try to implement his ideas to my mark making (copycat). oh well.. this one's dedicated to you Ashley Wood! I like your work!
Widgethead doodles

I started these doodles awhile ago at my meetings at work. The concept was just placing a bubble head into every possible machinery or object and seeing where it goes. I tried to place the heads at an interesting place on the object, hoping to add some character to them. Some of them were easier than others .... shows how much i pay attention in meetings...

Marrakesh And London Sketchbook

Here is a sample of one of my sketchbooks. Back in August 2008, i was fortunate to travel to Marrakesh and London to visit a movie set for Prince of Persia. During this time i tried to sketch out as much as i could of what i saw. This was my first time traveling out of the U.S. and I could say it was pretty cool being in a new environment. I particularly enjoyed exploring London and traveling through their transit systems. I believe they called it the "Tube". Tuesday, August 04, 2009
Character Designs....

I found some old and older work i have done for Nickelodeon Studios and at Disney Consumer Products. I started as an intern at Nickelodeon for the show " Angry Beavers ". I have met a lot of great and talented artists there who taught me about character design.I am currently working at Disney Consumer Products and i had a great opportunity to exercise some character designs for a TV show for Disney. The concept, "Lost Boys" was developed by our internal workers, Erik Schmudde and Eric Hutch.
